Linda Hasselstrom
grew up on her family's ranch in South Dakota. After receiving her M.A. in American
Literature, she earned her living by ranch work, freelance writing, and teaching
workshops in writing and publishing. In 1984 she received a National Endowment
for the Arts Fellowship in poetry. She is the author of many books of poetry
and nonfiction; her latest publication is an anthology she edited with Nancy
Curtis and Gaydell Collier, Leaning into the Wind: Women Write from the Heart
of the West.
